Passed away peacefully at May Court Hospice on January 8, 2108, with his loving wife and best friend May (Mary) by his side. Treasured father of Alison and Sandra. Loved and respected father-in-law of Mike and John. Much loved and will be sorely missed by his grandchildren Jesse, Alex and Amy. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Lindsay was a resident of Ottawa since 1965 and a retired employee of Computing Devices, now General Dynamics. A life-long model aircraft hobbyist, Lindsay was a member of Glasgow clubs, the Ottawa Remote Club and was a founding member of the Rideau Flyers (Phelan RC Flying Club). After retirement, Lindsay became an active member and lawn bowler at Nepean, Elmdale and Clearwater clubs. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 2-4 pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road). The family thanks Dr. Vickers and Judy, the nurses and staff at the Irving Greenberg Cancer Centre, the nurses who visited him at home especially Linda, and Dr. Coulombe who cared for Lindsay in his final days. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.
