Peacefully passed away on May 8, 2024, at the age of seventy-nine in Ottawa at the Queensway Carleton Hospital with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Daphne Campbell and father to Carroll, Marlene, and Kirk. Brother to the late Amos Campbell, and uncle to Winsome and Junior Campbell. Grandfather to eight grandchildren: Lirca, Tequan, Elijah, Malique, Nazir, Sahara, Jameel, Khalid, and great-grandfather to Kataleya Lovena Campbell and Abigail Gabriella Campbell.
Born in the parish of Clarendon in Jamaica; Campbell worked as a Mechanic. He loved reggae music, football, and dominos. He migrated to Canada in 1975 where he worked at OC Transpo as a bus driver. He was kind, loyal, and dedicated to his wife and family. Remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends.
The family will receive friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 6 - 9 pm. Funeral Service on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 9:30 am in the Chapel. Interment at Capital Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
