It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Mary Miller (nee Watson), in her 79th year, on Thursday, February 3, 2011. Beloved wife of Anthony Miller. Loving mother of Allyson (deceased), Stephanie, Sharon, Tony (Lili) and David (Tania). Proud Grandma to Ashley, Danika, Tara, Shaun, Calista and Rebecka. She is survived by her sisters Madeleine and Maureen and her brothers Paul, Edward, Edgar, and Bill. Predeceased by brothers Mark, Jim and Bernard. Helen was a second language methodology teacher at Ottawa Normal School and University of Ottawa Dept. of Education for more than twenty years. She continued her teaching practice at CSEC for another ten years before retiring. Visitation at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion), on Sunday, February 6 from 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
