George Thomas

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of George Thomas on Saturday April 16, 2016. Peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, George fell asleep in the Lord. Will be dearly missed by his loving wife Noelle Thomas and sons David (Rose) and Joseph (Diane). Predeceased by his youngest son Christopher. Brother to Abraham (Elaine). Much loved Jiddy of Jacob, Joshua, Rachel, Matthew, and Nicholas Thomas. Loved by Noelle's brothers and sisters Ray (Faye), Nouhad (Albert) & Jamalle (Clayton). Predeceased by his brothers Tom & Toufic of Ottawa and Khalil & his sister Linda Abou-Assaly in Lebanon and niece Wendy. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins and their families. Step-grandfather to Ashley and Tamara Haley and step-great grandfather to Skye. Those who knew George loved his kind heart and generous smile. Friends and relatives are invited to McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home 1411 Hunt Club Road at Albion Road on Monday April 18, 2016 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM. The funeral is to be held at St Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral on Tuesday April 19th at 10AM. In memoriam donations to Saint Elias Cathedral would be appreciated.
