Born in 1943 to Elzéar Contant and Rosarienne Poliquin, David’s journey was marked by both triumphs and tribulations. His unwavering determination and strength carried him through many difficult times.
David is survived by his wife Adeline Gingras, his six children: Ann Christine Contant, David Contant Jr., Nicole Contant, Benoit Contant, Carolyne Contant and Raymond Contant. David also leaves in mourning his sister Marie Ferriss and seven grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased by his three brothers: Robert Contant, Normand Contant and Hector Contant.
As per David’s wishes, there will be no memorial service held.
As we bid farewell to David, let us remember him not only for the hardships he endured but also for the resilience he displayed. May his memory inspire us to be more compassionate, to listen without judgement and to support one another in our everyday battles.
David Contant will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Rest in peace, dear David.
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not for long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that once we shared
Miss me, but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take
And each must go alone.
It’s all part of the master plan
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to the friends we know.
Remember all of the good things we did
Just don't forget to let me go.
