To my beloved and beautiful brother Salvatore,

You’re truly a gem in many ways , I remember fondly the youngest of ten siblings you were the one that took our nieces, nephews sisters , brother and including myself every year to the CNE. It was fun and I looked forward to it every year.  But apart from that there were many great memories with our huge Sicilian family .  The arrival of the five of us arriving in Canada in 1965. What a true joy it was getting to my brother Salvatore and other siblings.  But my brother Salvatore was ver unique in many ways, he was genuine, kind and compassionate in every person he touched and came upon.  Those when he was at Princess Margaret we enjoyed talked for hours and laughing and smiling at each other and eating a cannoli and having coffee.  My mom and we’re truly prod of his son becoming a teacher !  Wow such a beautiful celebration of life teaching for 46 years and enjoying every minute of it and teaching and making a difference in every student’s lives.  He touched my life tremendously, I needed to see him almost every cause his calmness and beautiful smile and hazel eyes is  all I needed to make me happy and sometimes I didn’t need to talk but my brother knew that I was always there sitting and watching and talking to him. He brought me so much joy and happiness and he said he was proud of me and my kids and always be kind . You have tremendously touched many lives and I love you for doing that and for that I say Avoir and Ciao not for ever but only for a tiny bit . I love to the moon and back!  Rest in peace my big brother Salvatore we will miss a whole bunch !!!!

Salvatore was an extraordinary man, his kind and thoughtful heart and big beautiful smile were both genuine and so incredible inspiring. He cared for everyone that knew him and always put others needs ahead of his own, even after being diagnosed with multiple cancers he still went out of his way to help anyone that needed it.  Often during our time at Princess Margret he would make many friends and offer kindness, support and encouragement to many patients.  Over the years he taught me the value of family and giving back to others.  He was a wonderful teacher who helped and inspired so many students, family and friends.  I feel so blessed to be apart of his life and to be there to hold his hand when he needed it.    Thank you Salvatore for everything you did for us.  My children were so blessed to have such an amazing Nonno.  You were so proud of everything they did and offered them so much love and encouragement, they will truly miss you. All of your family, friends and neighbours will have many fond memories that will let you live on in their hearts.   I will miss you very much,

We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Salvatore. He was truly an inspiration, demonstrating remarkable strength and courage throughout his long battle with cancer. Salvatore touched the lives of many and his memory will live on in our hearts. We hope you find comfort in the love and support of family and friends.

There are so many wonderful memories that we had with Zio Salvatore. He had a contagious smile that would light up everyone and made us feel happier. He was great at telling stories and writing speeches ( we will miss them). He enjoyed teaching and inspiring his students to feel positive,  be creative and uplifting their spirits to encourage  all of them/us to become who we are. This was his greatest gift he gave to everyone,  especially to me, to my sister,  mother, father, my nephew and niece, (Jacob and Sophia) including everyone in our families.  We have so many grateful moments with Zio that we'll cherish  and are very thankful for his strength, thoughtfulness,  and kindness.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Zia Angelina, John & Sheri, Francis & Deb, his grandchildren Christopher, Natalie and Noah.

Salvatore will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
