As first cousins, I new Bob from birth until our late teens when life took us each in very different directions. I lived with Bob and his mom (Elizabeth), for most of my teenage years and knew him as a great companion sharing fishing trips, cycling, camping and climbing trips. Annoyingly, he was always much better than me at all those things being, as he always reminded me, 6 months older. I remember, his heart was always in Canada and I'm so happy he made a successful life there. My condolences to his family and friends who I am sure are feeling a big hole in their lives.


I worked with Bob when I first joined Ontario Power Generation.  He was always kind, gentle, and ready with a laugh.  He was also expert at explanations, and a wonderful mentor for all those new to the industry. 
My condolences to the family and all who knew and loved him for this great loss.

My sincerest condolences to Bob’s family.  I was privileged to work alongside Bob in Ontario Hydro (CNS days) and more recently in the Channel Analysis group.  I remember him as dedicated to his work and always willing to help those around him.  Above all he managed to see both sides of any situation and treated everyone equally and fairly.   He will be missed by all that knew him. 

I knew Bob through work at Ontario Power Generation. 
I also know Sherri and Sheldon Murray.
Bob was probably the best person I have ever worked with, in my 44 years in the workforce.
A favourite memory was when we were inspecting  a heat exchanger at P.N.G.S. in the mid 1990s. 
A station engineer was asking us questions as to what kinds of indications  we were seeing.
Well, Bob answered the engineer in such a way as to not offend, and be vague at the same time.
The engineer was probably trying to figure out what happened days later (laughing as I remember this).  Bob had a lot of experience dealing with station personnel. 
Bob always had a good nature, even when things were not going well.
I am sure " Teflon Bob " - as he was good naturedly called sometimes- will be missed by all who knew him.

I am so saddened by your loss. Bob was a good friend, both at work and at leisure.  Bob and Kath both meant so much to my kids and I. Time goes by so quickly, weeks turn into years, years turn into decades. But the memories are like yesterday and always cherished.  Life is so unpredictable, but if it wasn't, it wouldn't be worth living. Make sure you live it!

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Bob – such a gentle and smart man.  You were so kind and willing to help us whenever we need.  You will be missed dearly by us - fuel channel analysis group!

Knowing Bob in my OPG years was a privilege and will always remember all the times working together.  Bob - you have gone too soon and You will be missed.  

I would just like to offer my sincere condolences to Bob's family on your loss. I worked with Bob on and off over the years at OPG and he was always courteous and professional and it was a privilege to have known him.
