Michael George Herbert Ormonde

June 6, 1954 – March 29, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael George Herbert Ormonde on March 29, 2025, at the age of 70, in Oshawa, Ontario. Michael passed peacefully with his children Joanne and Jeffrey by his side. Michael’s warmth, humour, and gentle spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed by his daughter Joanne Gordon, her husband Brendan, and his grandson Banks, as well as by his son Jeffrey Ormonde and his fiancé Ashley Pope and her daughter Alannah Pope. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Lynda Douse.

Michael was a man of quiet passions and deep connections. He had a lifelong love of cars—both the real and the miniature—building a treasured collection of model cars over the years. He took great pride in his work and truly valued the friendships he built with colleagues throughout his career. At home in Ajax, Michael found joy in his community. He was especially fond of his neighbours, always ready for a good conversation or to share his latest batch of baked goods. Michael also had a green thumb and found peace in tending to his garden, taking pride in the beautiful flowers he nurtured each season.
