HOLFORD, Michael Austin -- entered peacefully into rest on July 17, 2023, at the age of 86. Former supervisor at LASCO Steel, Whitby. Son of the late Leon and Enid Holford. Beloved husband of Myrna. Brother of Joan Leslie, Kenneth Holford, the late Patricia Holford and David Holford of Barbados. Brother-in-law of Joan Holford and Marva Holford (Barbados) Loretta Gittens (Canada), Tamasa and Colin Pickering (Barbados) and the late Hal Leslie (Canada). Uncle of Kay, Ingrid, David, Richard, Kenny and Kevin (all of Canada), Carol (Bermuda), June (Barbados) and Marc (Panama). Great Uncle of 16 and great-great Uncle of 6. Cousin of the Right Excellent Sir Garfield Sobers (Barbados), Cecil Sobers (Barbados) and Elise Crane (USA). Friend of many, especially Bonnie and Bill, Barry McKenzie (Inga), Lloyd Springer (Eudene) , Jeffrey Gittens, Lorraine Joseph and Martha Padmore. A special thank you to the first responders for their efforts plus the empathy shown to all family members present.

Friends may call at the Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West, Oshawa on Thursday July 27 from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday July 27 at 1:30 followed by interment at Thornton Cemetery, Oshawa.
