The youngest of 7 children, she will be hugely missed and fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Shortly after their wedding in 1957 they sailed from her native Wales to Canada and there began a lifelong adventure together creating beautiful homes in the various places they lived. Maureen was always the perfect hostess, welcoming with a drink or top quality food to suit any occasion.
Maureen enjoyed travelling and exploring life. From Theatre to boats, skiing and lake swimming, she really did live life to the fullest.
Funeral Mass at St Joseph’s Catholic Church (1100 Mary Street N., Oshawa) on Friday September 17th at 10:30 am. A burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. A reception, eulogies and time of fellowship will be held after the burial back at Oshawa Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated, in Maureen's memory https://www.heartandstroke.ca.
