Judy Louise Mary Bell

Judy was born in Scarborough, Ontario on April 9, 1953. Beloved mother of Chris, Jenn and spouses Mandy and Kelly. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Evann, Hayes, Jordan, Keegan and Kayla.

Beloved by her mother, Frances and siblings Terry, Tom, Michelle and brother-in-law Francois. As well as her niece Jessica and nephews Zachary, Joe (Amber), Mike (Megan) and their families. She was predeceased by her father Fernand.

Judy married her high school sweetheart, Rob Whyte. They had two children: Christopher and Jennifer.

She started her career in the insurance industry immediately from school as a CSR and over the 40+ year career became very well known and respected for her expertise. Through the years she taught many future brokers and was extensively involved in IBAO to which she was the Insurance Broker of the Year in 2009 and even held the position of president for the Durham Region Association.

Through this time, she separated from Rob who eventually predeceased her. She thankfully met Lyall Bell another insurance guru, fell in love at first site and married. After many years of happiness, it was time for Lyall to move on, who since predeceased Judy in May 2024.

During their separation Judy stayed focused on her family and career and went onto start and open Beyond Insurance Brokerage as Sr. Vice President which sold just prior to her retirement. Judy lived in Oshawa with her mother (91 years old) for whom she was the caregiver with her brother Tom.

She lived a very giving and caring life. A hero to many. An Angel!

Visitation will be will be held at Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM funeral service to follow in the chapel at 1:30 PM.
