Chris it was truly an honor to see you, Amand, Andrew and their families at John’s Celebration of Life. The huge turnout was testimony to how much he was loved and remembered by so many. 
Our personal mememories go back to our Tillsonburg days and so many nights and days spent curling and playing ball with the Cowboys in summer, and trips together to Montreal. They seem so long ago but they are still such treasured moments. All of our lives have changed but our lives are all so much richer for being able to call him and you as friends. Thank you for sharing the great photo memories. We love you and keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear about Farlie . John taught the game of curling in the most awesome way. He was such an amazing skip and teacher plus a lot of fun!! So many memories of fun times at the Curling  Club and around your pool !!! Thinking of you Chris and family.

Sorry for your loss. When we saw John's obit in the Tillsonburg News today it immediately brought to mind great memories of Friday nights and Host/Guest Bonspiels at the curling club. It was good thinking about those fun times. John and you were very much a part of our early years in TBurg and the friends we found at the curling club. Thinking of you and your family we know he will be missed.

To the Shaw and Mowat families,

Thank you for allowing us to share in the beautiful memories of John's life.  He was clearly loved by family and friends from the time he was just a baby to an active little boy and through all the stages of his life.  I am especially moved by the care that was provided by Mrs. Mowat (Chris) and of course Amanda and Andrew, particularly as John's health declined.  That is the ultimate expression of love in the most difficult of circumstances.  Please know you are all close in our hearts and minds.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have just spent the last hour scrolling through your family photos in honour of John. Some made me laugh and others made me cry. On behalf of myself, my family Adam and Natalie and (Kirk who passed in Dec 2016) we want to extend our condolences. The three of us have been reminiscing about the numerous Cowboy ballgames, tournaments and most of all the Cowboy Family Pool gatherings hosted by the Mowat family. Thank you for letting us be part of your life. I'm sure John and Kirk have reconnected and are looking after each other. Love from the Hunters

I have many memories from the time John Chris and family were in Tillsonburg and part of the Cowboy family. Many entertaining parties hosted and playing slow pitch and curling with John was always eventful from jockeying best route in tournaments and bonspiels to his great comradery. I enjoyed his dry wit and remember the glint in his eyes told us some prank was up .
