Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Lakeridge Health Oshawa after a courageous battle with cancer and COPD on Saturday, September 3rd, 2011 in his 85th year. Loving husband to Barbara (nee Tompkins) for nearly 65 years. Son of the late David and Lillian McFadden and predeceased by sisters Mildred, Harriet, Dorothy and brother Gordon. Devoted Dad to Craig (Pam) and Judy Dollo (Frank). Deeply loved Grampa to Kerri (Gary), Kelli, Jeffrey and Steven. Great Grampa to Montana, Shayne, Aaron, Brennan and Nathan. Sadly missed by grand pet Tucker. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, September 7th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. and on Thursday, Sept 8th from 12 noon until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m.
Interment to follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Charity of your Choice.
