Gord represented quite simply what a stand up guy is! 🧡 Our neighbour for many years who became our friend. Our girls grew up together, we shared milestones together and depended on each other through the years, like good friends and neighbours do. Always so reliable, helpful and good humoured. Gord’s wood working skills are throughout our home and will be beautiful reminders of this wonderful, talented person. Sweet Gord, know that the neighbourhood family will be there for your family and that Cooper will get his walks. Your time was far too short but your imprint lifelong. 🧡

I will be reminded of Gord everyday as my entire workspace, where I write stories, create music and spend most of my time, was literally created by him.  The walls, the shelves right on down to my custom music desk which I love so much.  He is a part of everything I create here.

We had some nice laughs together when he worked on my space here, and he spoke proudly of his kids and Judy.  Just a wonderful man, I'm so glad I got to know him.  

Thank you Gord, you will be missed.

When I met the Mitchell family the day they moved across the road from me, I didn’t know how much of an impact they’d have on my family and I. Sandy has been my closest friend since they moved in, and my parents became close to both Judy and Gord as a result. Gord put our stairs in and was always quick to pop over when we needed help with projects around the house. He made me laugh often, and always called me “Kenny”. When I was younger I could always ask him if Sandy was home while he was working on something in the garage. Gord was an amazing father, husband, friend, and dog dad, I know Cooper will miss his walk buddy. We miss you Gord! May you rest peacefully 🤍

We are so saddened by the loss of Gordon. He was such a good neighbour and friend to my son Rich and his wife Cheryl, and their daughters Kendra and Harper.  We often came to see our son and family and Gordon was helping with carpentry work. He always waved to us if he was outdoors. Our deepest  condolences to the family and we send much love.
