Passed away peacefully at the Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Sunday, January 6th, 2013 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald. Loving mother of Wendy Williamson (late Tom Blimkie) and John (Cartier). Grandmother of Todd Williamson (Daien), Scott Williamson (Julie), James, Michael and Nicholas Rose, and Great Gran of Evan, Aiden, Taya and Ella. Dear sister of Gordon Hubbell (late Helen). Ruth loved her family and dedicated herself to their well-being. She was ahead of her time in many ways, an avid reader and always enjoyed a spirited discussion. Education was extremely important to her, and after graduating a generation earlier, she returned to McGill University to pursue her passion for archaeology. We certainly learned from her devotion to family and her quest for knowledge. She is and always will be missed. A private service was held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234). Cremation.
