On Friday, March 4th, 2016, Anne passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her husband, Edward “Red” Finan, of 67 years. Anne is survived by sisters Mary LeBlanc and Nora Deckert, brother Joe Craddock (Sandy) and brother-in-law Alex Finan (Peggy – predeceased) and Jack Finan (Eileen – predeceased). Anne will be sadly missed by her children, Linda (John), Sharon (Greg), Sean, Shelagh (Marty), Maureen (Jeff) and Colleen; her grandchildren Jeremy, Joelle, Jackie, Eamonn, Amanda, Charles, Jacob, John, Lesley, Jay, Ryan, Justin, Kim, Jesse, Vanessa, Jaime, and Jenna; and seven great-grandchildren. Anne also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who she loved to see. Anne will be missed dearly by close friends, Marion Freeman, Grace and Jimmy Irving and all the wonderful girls in her bridge club of over 50 years. Anne was very active in her Parish community, first in Hamilton, Ontario as a member of the CYO, then later in Whitby and Oshawa, as a member of the Catholic Women’s’ League. She was an excellent Bridge player, enjoyed music and participated in her Church Choir for many years. Anne loved cottage life with Red and over the years, hosted many corn roasts and reunions with family and friends, in the early years at Holy Family Camp in Winona, then later at Big Cedar Lake in Burleigh Falls. A special thank you to Mary Lynch, Mabel Andrews and the Oshawa Palliative Care Team. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, March 8th from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at ST. JOSEPH THE WORKER CHURCH (1100 Mary Street N., Oshawa) on Wednesday, March 9th at 1:00 p.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent’s Kitchen in Oshawa, where Anne volunteered for several years, or to a charity of your choice.
