Maria “Imma” Immaculada Sanchez Colmenar, age 60, passed on from this life on December 3, 2024, surrounded by family. Imma was born on August 22, 1964, in Manila, Philippines. In 1984, she graduated from the University of the Philippines, Manila with her degree in Political Science and Economics, as well as a Computer Software Degree from Ateneo de Manila University. She arrived in the United States in 1986 and lived in California before moving to Ormond Beach, Florida, in 2011. Working as a Software Consultant, Imma traveled throughout the United States for her job. Her love of travel extended beyond her career, as she was a lifelong adventurer who visited five continents, hundreds of countries, and thousands of cities around the world. She loved visiting bustling metropolitan areas to see beautiful historic landmarks or venturing to tropical paradises where she could snorkel or sip a drink on the beach. Imma was passionate about the arts, as an avid museum-goer, film watcher, theater patron, and concert attendee. The only thing to surpass her love of art was her deep devotion to being Ormond Beach’s most experienced and skilled foodie. “What are you eating?” was Imma’s most often asked question. She adored eating any cuisine and drinking international wines, and she particularly cherished sharing these meals with the people she loved the most: her friends and family. Imma loved being with her family, sharing meals, singing karaoke, watching TV, laughing and telling jokes. She planned vacations for her friend groups and family members, sharing her love of travel and experiencing the world with her loved ones. She will be deeply missed by her community, as she shared her love and joy with so many of the people around her. Maria “Imma” Immaculada Sanchez Colmenar is survived by her brother, Benedicto Sanchez, her sister, Isabel Sanchez Kelley, her sister-in-law, Melissa Sanchez, her nieces and nephew: Sarah Kelley, Keisha Sanchez, Amber Kelley, Kimberly Sanchez, and Christopher Kelley, and her dogs Zoey and Pretzel.

Maria “Imma” Immaculada Sanchez Colmenar will have a viewing and mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Daytona Beach, Florida, on December 13, 2024. The viewing will be held from 10 AM - 11 AM with mass to follow.
