Georgette Seabrook Powell, 95, was born in Charleston, SC and grew up in the Yorkville neighborhood of New York City. Georgette a world renown artist, travelled, painted and exhibited throughout the US, Asia, and Africa. She and her Husband, the late Dr. George W. Powell a retired podiatrist moved to Palm Coast in 1976. Georgette leaves behind to mourn her are two sons George Wesley (Denise) Powell and Richard Victor Powell; a daughter Phyllis A. Washington, thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at noon on Tuesday January 3, 2012 at the Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 North Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL 32174, The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Volusia Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the trust and care of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach.
