Dennis Wayne

Born June 28, 1947 in Utica, New York, to the late Casimir Stanley and Eva Louise Tyksinski, Dennis lived there with his older brother, the late Arthur Keller, until the start of his military days.

A life-long achiever, Dennis was a proud Vietnam Veteran and loved being a military man leading him into law enforcement. He worked side by side with his wife Kim as well, for over 40 years. The joy he felt having his son Adam join him five years ago meant the world to him insuring the Wayne Legacy would continue.

Dennis became a Master Mason because of his son Aaron just as he fought, and won, his battle with cancer. He always said it made him a better man and helped him survive.

His greatest asset was his memory, and could tell stories from decades ago as if it was yesterday, recalling names and details that surprised many he met. Dennis loved what he did and never missed an opportunity to talk to strangers everywhere he went.

Having his beautiful daughter Amber make him Papa was among his final blessings. His spirit will live on in those girls forever.

Survivors include his wife Kim, daughter Amber (Jamie) Weaver, Sons Adam Wayne and Aaron Tyksinski. His precious grandchildren, Eva, Rory and Remi, and Kim’s twin sister, Karen Lohr, along with so many nieces, nephews and cousins. He cherished his childhood growing up with cousins Chet and John Lebert, proudly telling everyone he could he was from Utica.

Family and Friends are welcome to visit Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Volusia Memorial Home from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2
