Charlie I moved away in Jan 2019, I found out the day I knocked on your door, but the neighbor next door told me. I can’t believe I didn’t get to come tell you goodbye. So much unsaid…. I so sorry for your loss,. To  lose a father is so painful. The pain never goes away. It’s always there, even though some days are ok , you cover up the hard ones. Don’t ever stop talking to him  he is closer than you think.  Charlie was so sweet, kind  polite & overly protective.  My heart  was broken when I heard he was given beautiful Harley Angel wings 🪽.  I will always remember our rides together. I hope you always share his memories. He’s never be far away….right there in your heart & mind, listening & guiding you. I am speaking for the whole Ward family and Golds Gym. Charlie was a dedicated ,hardworking member and employee. A dear friend to us all. He would arrive at the gym very early in the am and would tend to any unforeseen issues. Before any of the members arrived,Charlie had the problem solved.  He always had a smile and cheerful greeting to all who entered. We are sure his faithfulness will continue in his afterlife. God bless you and your family. May he Rest In Peace.

To my Friend of 65 years...  I have many memories of this Beautiful man.  My best was when we stole his 1956 Mercury. Me and Bobby O'Rourke were driving it down 183 street and passed Charlie walking down the street. He saw us and started running in the street after us cursing up a storm. We kept stopping with the door open to let him in. Each time he got to the door we would speed up.
We finally let him in the car and he was like a pussy cat. He didn't care about what we just did to him. He just wanted us to be his friend. This was the kind of man he was, so gentile and caring.
I gonna miss you Charlie and our weekly calls...  R.I.P.  "Bones"

To his family there are no words to express our sympathy . but know that time which is a great healer will give you the peace that you seek.
Charlie was a brother volunteer firefighter in the City of Peekskill, NY and a very good friend. While time drifted us apart we were able to keep in contact, and maintain or friendship.
We had some fantastic times with Pat and Charlie that are often thought about.

I didn't know Charlie, well, but met him again some years ago when I drove my dad, Tobe to an upstate funeral...Charlie arrived on his Harley, I believe dressed in denims and we struck up a conversation...I instantly knew he was a class act...I'm sure he will be sorely missed by those he was close too..Please accept my and Claire's sincere condolence.


He was a warm loving and giving man.  He was the brother every sister should have.  Love you so much Charlie.

Oh Charley, this is such sad news to hear.. I know your family has many memorable times with you but your old neighbors have a few too. 
Living behind your house, I remember when my parents had a small motor home parked n our backyard which was close to your home. You had a niece come to visit and we definitely got into some teenage trouble. We thought we were so clever as to fooling my parents only to find out that you witnessed our bad choices that night.. 

The best memory was when I asked you to be our Santa for the big Hunnefeld Xmas party at my home. I told all my brothers and sisters that I found the real Santa, on course they didn’t believe me but then you sneaked into the party and no one knew who you were. Then your knowledge of certain life events of my siblings scared them all.  Only when you asked for a drink of scotch did my dad guess it was you. Off you rode into the night on Xmas Eve on your motorcycle dressed as Santa to cheer on all passerby’s.  I will miss you Charley. 

My deepest condolences to all of you. I will forever miss this man. Ride with the Angel's my friend.

My most fondest memory is when Charlie would stop by my house a few days a week with a red rose for my sick mother.  He would brighten up her day.

Charlie was such a wonderful and brave man! He always tried to stay so positive and he had an energy that would lite up the room. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all!
