Linda Vaughan

She was the wife of David Vaughan. Linda was born on June 8, 1946 in Barnstable, MA. She was the daughter of Grace Snow of Dennis Port and the late George Snow.

Linda was brought up in Dennis and graduated from DY High School and the Mansfield Beauty Academy. She was a hairdresser for 30 years, and worked as a secretary for 24 years at various businesses throughout the Cape.

Linda loved traveling and enjoyed her many trips to Florida. She had a passion for gardening, like no other. Frequenting the movies and spending days on Cape beaches were also a love of Linda’s.

Linda had another unique aspect in her life that so few have. That was she remained close with her three friends from high school years. Sharon McBride, Maria Fitzpatrick and Ann Kapolis were all a huge aspect in her life’s journey

Besides her husband she is survived by her daughter Carri Wood of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and her son Gregory Wood of Harwich, MA. Her brother Peter Snow of South Dennis, her sisters Faith Kehoe of South Yarmouth, and Janet Lincoln of Harwich. She also is survived by three step children, Timothy and Gregory Vaughan of Brewster and Sheri Peterson of Harwich. Linda also cherished her 8 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Joanne Gilbert of Maine.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday July 8, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Dennis Union Church 713 Main St., Dennis MA.
