EASTHAM Janet W. Graham, 89, formally from Holden, MA, passed away on February 3rd after a long battle with Alzheimer’s at EPOCH of Brewster. She was a loving, dedicated wife for 67 years to Goodwin Graham and beloved mother to their children, Sally Graham of Orleans, MA and David Graham of Old Jaffrey, NH.
Janet was born and lived in Holden, MA until she and her husband moved to Eastham, on Cape Cod, in 1985. She graduated from Holden High School, attended Duke University and graduated from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston. She was secretary of the First Congregational Church of Holden for twenty years.
As an active member of the Federated Church of Orleans, Janet enjoyed playing in the hand bell choir. She also belonged to the Hospital Auxiliary and the Orleans Women’s Club.
Janet is also survived by her son’s wife, Susan, grandchildren, Brad Graham and his wife, Dana, and great-granddaughter, Lydia, of Acton, MA and Haley Lynn and her husband Kevin, and great-grandson Renwick of Sudbury, MA. She will always be remembered, with love, for her kindness towards others. In her final years at EPOCH, she loved singing and remained loving and caring towards all who had a chance to know her.
A memorial service will be held at the Brewster Baptist Church in the spring. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Holden, at the convenience of the family.
