Jackson Taylor "JT”, Yelle, age 21, of North Eastham passed away on Sunday April 30th, 2023 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina as a result of injuries sustained after being struck by an automobile. Jackson was born on January 27th, 2002 in Santa Rosa, California. He was a 2020 graduate of Nauset Regional High School and was a Junior at Elon University in Elon, North Carolina where he was studying Business Analytics and was a proud member of the Elon University Club Baseball team. JT loved baseball, fishing, dancing, and above all, he loved his family and friends.
Jackson’s life and spirit are epitomized by a quote from a friend and teammate “When I first heard the news, I tried to remember the happy times we had together and then I realized that they were all happy.” Jackson was the person who people turned to in order to lift their spirits and to make them laugh. His infectious smile, unmistakable giggle, relentlessly positive attitude, and approachability made him instant friends wherever he went. He was the “big brother” in the room; the person who always looked out for you, supported you and protected you and did so in his calming “Happy Go Lucky” way. The best tribute to Jackson and his family would be that people will learn from his example: Be the person that lights up a room and improves other people’s day; Be there for others and let them know that you care; Appreciate how lucky you are to be alive and enjoy every moment; and always take care of your friends-hug them and tell them that you love them.
Jackson leaves behind his father and mother, Scott and Andrea Yelle, his sister, Lexi, his paternal grandparents, Carol Anne St. Aubin, Raymond and Sandy Yelle and his maternal grandfather, Byron Park. He is predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Jeanne Park and his cousin, Rebecca Walach. He also leaves his Uncle and Aunts: Deborah Walach of Walton NY, Wendy Yelle-Bonavita (Mark) of South Yarmouth, Ryan Yelle (Abigal) of NYC and John Park (Joanne) of Toronto, Canada. Being a part of the St. Aubin family of Eastham, he also leaves far too many cousins, second cousins, great aunts and uncles and assorted other relatives than we have space to list and, lastly, he also leaves an army of friends, near and far.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations to the Nauset Booster Club at https://nausetsports.org/main/boosters or the Elon University Club Baseball program at https://connect.elon.edu/supportelon?elonfund=181
Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday May 12th from 4 – 7pm and on Saturday May 13th from 10am – 12 pm in the Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA 02653. To honor JT’s spirit and approach to life, “Cape Cod Casual” attire is welcome and encouraged.
