Goodwin Graham, 91, of Eastham, MA died on April 6th, joining his beloved wife, Janet W. Graham. He grew up in Worcester and Leicester and lived in Holden for 35 years. He retired from Wyman Gordon Co. and moved to Eastham in 1985.
He was a navy veteran of WWII, surviving nine invasions in the South West Pacific. He was a past president of the Nimrod League of Holden, the Tatnuck Island Club, and the Holden Little League. He was a master mason since 1950 and a member of Adams Lodge of Masons in Wellfleet. He was a member of the Federated Church of Orleans and later the Brewster Baptist Church, also the Orleans Coffee Club, the Garden Club of Orleans, and the USS LCS Association.
Goodwin attended the University of New Hampshire and graduated from the New England Institute in Boston. Known as “Goody” or “Gee”, he loved fishing, hunting, clamming and gardening, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter Sally G. Graham of Orleans, his son David W. Graham and wife Susan of Jaffery, NH, his sister Marcia Snow of Worcester, MA, sister-in-law Verna Graham of Chatham, two grandchildren Brad Graham of Concord and Haley Lynn Bush of Sudbury, MA, and two great-grandchildren Lidia Graham and Renwick Bush.
His memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 1PM in Brewster Baptist Church, 1848 Main St, Brewster, MA. A burial with military honors will be held at Grove Cemetery in Holden at the convenience of the family. For online condolences, please visit http://www.nickersonfunerals.com./
