Rosemary Arroyo of Orlando, FL passed away peacefully on January 26th at her home. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Eddie Arroyo and their three children Edward Arroyo, Mark Arroyo and Jennie Santana. Rosemary also had two beautiful grandchildren, Evan and Fiona.
Rosemary was born and raised in Gary, IN. She graduated from Emerson High School in 1968. Her first job was at Colmay’s Jewelry store, and it was then that Rosemary began her love with all things shiny. She was also so proud of her time working as switch board operator, in which she physically connected the calls. She married her High School Sweetheart, Eddie Arroyo in 1974. Eddie and Rosemary moved with their 3 children to Orlando, FL in 1986.
Rosemary’s passions were God and Family. Nothing was more important to her. She donated so much of her time to the church as a member of the rosary group, bible Study class, and came every month to bring food for the homeless. She received as much joy from it as she gave. Her smile and laugh were infectious, and she never had an unkind word to say about anyone.
She loved crocheting, watching scary movies, shopping, Disney World, concerts, the Golden State Warriors and collecting snow globes and Pillsbury Doughboys. She really had a passion for traveling and taking cruises. She visited California, Hawaii, France, Italy, Spain, England and many more. Her greatest memories were from her two trips to the Vatican, one with her adoring husband and one with her beloved daughter. She was so proud of meeting two different popes.
What we will remember Rosemary’s smile and her child like innocence when came to trying new things. It was never a naivete but instead a keen knack to see the good in everyone and everything. She embraced technology and anything new even in her latter years. Everyone that met Rosemary, instantly loved her and remembered her. She will be forever missed as a person, daughter, sister, friend and the best mother ever.
The family requests that everyone please wear yellow, floral or bright colors to the services, as this is a celebration of Rosemary's life.
