He joined the United States Army in March 1982 and retired in August 2011 as Training NCO in the Florida Army National Guard. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Hayley; children, Rafael Jr. Bradley and Angela; his mother, Ernestina and siblings William, Luis, Ivan, Rosa, Nelida and Damasa.
A visitation for Rafael will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild at Chapel Hill, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817. A committal service will occur Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, U.S. Highway 1, Mims, FL 32754.
