

Polette (known as Popo, Mommy Po, Bel Popo) was born on May 15, 1953, in Source Chaudes, Haiti to Ruben Geffrard and Manuxie Jean Charles. She was the oldest of 4 children: Ann, Marc, and Ulduric Geffrard. After completing elementary school in her hometown, she moved to Gonaives, Haiti to complete her high school degree in Lycee Louis Diaquio. After high school, she took vocational courses in teaching at College Ebenezer and soon began her career as a teacher. She had a passion for teaching the youth. As a teacher, she taught many subjects. Most of all she enjoyed teaching mathematics.
In 1971, at the age of 18, Polette met the love of her life Sully Moreau; They married in June 1979. She subsequently gave birth to three children: Guy, Gerthy, and Louis. She was also cherished by 3 grandchildren: Shane, Leo, and Stephan.
In 1996, Popo moved with her three children to the United States to join her husband, where she continued to embrace the many elements of life until her passing. During her 44 years of marriage, Popo was a devoted spouse and mother. She always stood with courage by her husband and children. As a mother, Mommy Po provided unconditional and selfless love. She was nurturing and understanding. Mommy Po taught her children the value of hard work, perseverance despite obstacles, and having a strong foundation in Christ. She believed in inner principles that demonstrated respect, discipline, dignity, and integrity.
She was a devout Christian and lived a life of service to others and not of her own self. She worked at Walt Disney for 20 years, meanwhile was a fellow member of First Haitian Baptist Church. She never lost sight of her love and desire for teaching and learning. She was a mentor and very passionate about sharing her knowledge with others.
Bel Popo was a selfless, compassionate, and strong-hearted individual. She embraced life with kindness and faced challenges with resilience. She embodied all the fruits of the spirit, which is that of love for her family and community. She showed kindness and goodness to all those around her. She had the peace of God within her that radiated her inner and outer beauty. Her love and caring nature left an enduring impact on those fortunate enough to know her. She lived a life of grace, love, and compassion.
Popo is survived by her husband Sully; her children, Guy, Gerthy, and Louis (Marie-Anne) Moreau ; 3 grandchildren, Shane, Leo, and Stephan; her brother Ulderick Geffrard; An uncle Gerard Jean Charles, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Eternal God, grant mercy and peace to Polette Moreau. May the care and devotion of her life on earth find a lasting reward in Heaven. Look kindly on her husband and children as now they turn to your compassion and love. Strengthen their faith and lighten their loss. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at First Haitian Baptist Church, 900 S. Thacker Ave, Kissimmee, FL 34741.
Thereafter, a graveside committal will occur Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734.
Please join us for a catered reception that will occur Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, 13001 South John Young Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32837.
