Norma Jean Rivera (Nelson), 74, of Orlando, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020. She was born on March 29, 1946 in Flint, Michigan and attended Flint Central High School. Before retirement, she worked as a home health care aide.
She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and Englewood Senior Center. She was an avid bingo and card player, enjoyed traveling to see family, and loved dancing and music.
She is survived by her husband, Emerito Rivera of Orlando. Children, Patrick (Lise) Rivera, Phyllis (Kurt) Wood, and Antonio Rivera. Stepchildren, William (Debora) Rivera, Marylynn Rivera, Linda Emerson, and Emerito Rivera, Jr. Grandchildren, Andrea Rivera, Sarah Rivera, and Heidi Rivera. Step-grandchildren, William Rivera, II, Jennifer Melecio, Cassie Rivera, Jennifer Decorte, Jillian Morris, Daniel Verkennes, Kristin Dean, Lowell Schomber, Heather Hendrick, Heidi Schomber, David Rivera, Alena Rivera, Sarah Reyer, and Noah Witzka Siblings, Julie Pinter, Carolyn Parker, Ronald Nelson, Michael Nelson, and Linda Adkins. Also 20 step-great-grandchildren.
