Lois E. Calder, 78, of Orlando, passed away at her home, surrounded by friends, on September 22, 2011 in Orlando, Florida. Lois was born February 12, 1933 in Grant County, Wisconsin. She taught for 25 years in the Orange County Public Schools and retired from teaching at Lockhart Elementary. She enjoyed golf, dancing, cruises and tutoring students. But her passion was teaching the students in her classroom. She obtained her PhD. from Rollins College.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Almon and Jeannetta Wright, and a daughter Lynn Calder. She is survived by her son, David Calder of Green Bay, WI, and her sister, Phyllis Weber of Glen Haven, WI., and seven nieces and nephews. Susan Hodge was her “Friend-Caregiver” for the past 5 years. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Family Funeral Care in Orlando, Florida.
