Leonard Eugene Williams died peacefully in his home in Orlando on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Leonard was born on November 22, 1930, in Kannapolis, North Carolina, the youngest son of Carl and Geneva Williams. In 1955 Leonard married the love of his life and his wife for 60 years; Marjorie. They had 4 sons together. After owning and operating a Tom’s Snack Foods distributorship in Winston-Salem, NC, the Williams family moved to Orlando in 1967 as Leonard became the District Sales Manager for Tom’s covering the entire State of Florida and Southeast Georgia. Leonard and Marjorie supported their son’s involvements in many organized activities including the Boy Scouts of America and were proud that Len, John and Michael were Eagle Scouts and Douglas achieved the rank of Life Scout. Their support continued in the Central Florida Council with the Marjorie and Leonard Williams Boy Scout Reservation at Camp-La-No-Che.
In 1990 Leonard retired from Tom’s Snack Foods and began a professional association with his friend of 20 years, Wayne M. Densch. First as a consultant and then as a business partner. Upon Mr. Densch’s death in 1994, Leonard became Chief Executive Officer of Wayne Densch, Inc. a position he held until his retirement in 2017.
Since 1994 Leonard had been President and Director of Wayne M. Densch Charities and Wayne M. Densch Charitable Trust. Through these charitable organizations Leonard was able to offer assistance and relief to distressed individuals in Central Florida as well as charitable grants to such organizations as the Central Florida YMCA, Boy Scouts of America, Epilepsy Association of Central Florida, Christian Mission, Russell Home,Kids House, Seminole State College, United Cerebral Palsy, Central Florida Zoological Park and many others. In 2010 Leonard created the Marjorie and Leonard Williams Family Foundation. The Foundation helped establish the Williams Center for Proton Therapy at Orlando Health, the first of its kind in Central Florida. Other grants made by the family foundation include the J. Douglas Williams YMCA in Lake Mary, the J. Douglas Williams Health Center and the Williams YMCA of Avery County in Linville, NC. They also donated the lead gift for the under construction Williams Family YMCA in Orlando.
Leonard enjoyed quail hunting in South Georgia with his sons and grandchildren, playing unlimited mulligans golf with his friends and family in Linville, NC , and attending Florida Gator football games. He and Marjorie’s greatest fan support was for the Orlando Magic with whom they loved travelling to away games.
Leonard’s greatest joy was his large family. Leonard was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie, his brother James, his youngest son Douglas and many dear friends. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-laws; Len and Marilyn, John and Mary, Michael and Jessica. His 6 grandchildren; Alex, Sean, Amelia and Collin Mcleod, Thomas and Jessica, Mike and Shelby and his youngest grandchild Samantha. He is also survived by three great grandsons; Vaughn, Mac and Harrison.

A socially distanced, face coverings required visitation will be held at Baldwin-Fairchild funeral Home at Chapel Hill, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32801 on Friday, January 29th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A family only burial will occur Saturday morning, January 30th.
