John "Jack" Lesley Gore

John “Jack” Lesley Gore rose in glory to be with his Lord and Savior August 19, 2022. Born in Marion, Indiana August 31,1935 to Alfred and Lucille Gore. 6 of 7 children - Robert, Alfred Jr. (“Mike”) (Lieutenant Colonel, US Army Retired), William, Mildred, Mary, Richard (“Dick”), all predeceased. Moved to Orlando at 14. A well-rounded athlete (football, basketball, track) at Edgewater High School. Met high school sweetheart Marjorie "Margie" Lucille Carden and married in 1955. Celebrating 53 years together before her passing in 2009. Their son, Stephen Lesley passed away in 2015. Drafted into the US Army in 1958 and served 6 years active duty and reserves. Owned and operated Parkway Truck Repair for 30 years (John Young Pkwy and Old Winter Garden Road). Married Mary (“Pat”) Finch June 21,2011 and traveled the world on their bucket list. Beloved for his storytelling, loving heart, and sweet disposition. Survived by his wife, Pat, daughter Shelley McGrath (Peter), grandson Matthew Gore, stepson Kevin E. Finch (Colonel US Army), with wife Jennifer Finch (Lieutenant Colonel, US Army Retired) and 3 step-granddaughters Audrey, Abby and Anna.
