Gary was a retired school teacher from the Orange County Public Schools. After retirement, he spent summers in Butler, Tennessee and winters in Orlando, Florida. He loved to play golf, garden, and spend time with his family.
Gary is survived by Linda, his wife of 52 years; three daughters and their families, Julie and husband, Pastor Bruce Mayhew, Tiffany Schweikart, Angela and husband, Hector Rodriguez; seven grandchildren, Bethany Mayhew, Olivia Mayhew, Abbey Mayhew, Brandon Rodriguez, Jonah Rodriguez, Kayla Schweikart, and McKenzie Schweikart; sister-in-law, Brenda McEwen, and brother-in-law, Dr. George F. McQueen and wife, June.
