Anthony L. Porter

Anthony was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad on May 6, 1947 and transitioned on June 4, 2019 after having blessed us with his loving presence for 72 years. He was a very devoted husband to his wife Ann Porter, to whom he was married to for 43 years. Anthony was the son of the late Stella Porter and Arthur Porter. He was the father of two children, Dr. Simone Porter and Anson Porter. He had one grandchild, Camryn Porter and daughter-in-law Rashada Porter. He had three siblings, Dr. Michael Porter, Sandra Balbosa and Ayleen Luke; he had four sisters-in-law Ingrid Achong, Sherma Thomas, Junette Earl, Ava Porter; three brothers-in-law Theophilus Balbosa, Stanhope Earle and Carlyle Earle. He was the uncle of Dr. Amina White, Safiya Porter, Dr. Aiysha Balbosa, Karima Porter, Shakeel Luke, Amber Balbosa, Damien Achong, Danielle Achong, Dashiell Achong. Kerindel Earle, Inga Earle, Yosan Earle, Pascale Earle, Nikki Rhoden and Kathy Ann Manette.

Anthony was a man of integrity, very loving and caring person who dedicated his life to his family. He was an excellent father who invested quality time with his two children. He never missed his daughter’s violin concerts and gymnastics meets. He was a soccer coach for his son’s soccer team and dedicated most of his leisure time to developing team members and coached his son to be an elite soccer player at high school level.

A visitation will be held at Family Funeral Care in Orlando on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral mass will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Orlando on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 10:00am.
