Clara (Clare) M. Schabes, age 91, of Orland Park, IL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2024.She is survived by her loving sons: David H. (Sarah) Schabes and Glenn C. (Theresa) Schabes; cherished grandchildren: Tim, Andrea, Emily, Claudia and Gus, and adored great grandson, Wesley.
After a long career in medical administration, Clare remained very active in retirement. She cherished time with her family and friends. She was an avid bridge player, election judge, library volunteer and gardener. She enjoyed the symphony and was a life-long student of world history.
Clare was preceded in death by her husband, Don Schabes.
Visitation will take place on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M at Orland Funeral Home (9900 W. 143rd St., Orland Park, IL) with a Chapel Service beginning at 12:00 P.M.
