Nancy Patricia Meyerl

Nancy Patricia Meyerl, 58 of Grandin, Florida passed away on May 25, 2015 as a result of a long battle with cancer. She was born on February 14, 1957, the daughter of Stanley Slevinski and Dolores Slevinski.

Nancy married Buck Meyerl in 1976 in Franklin, North Carolina. In 1976 their daughter Jessica was born then followed Melissa in 1978. Nancy resided in Virginia, Ft. Lauderdale, Andros Islands, Bahamas, Homestead, and Grandin.

Nancy graduated with her culinary degree and has a passion for cooking wonderful food for the people she loved. She also had a passion for her family, birds, crafting, music and flamingos. She loved celebrating all holidays. She never failed to have her mantle and her entry gate to her home decorated for each season.

She was always known to put others before herself and was a huge people pleaser. She was notorious for sending cards and gifts and a package would just show up in your mailbox, “just because.”

Nancy had a beautiful soul and never had an enemy. Everyone always said she was a wonderful person. It was always the little things that meant so much to her.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Buck Meyerl, her daughters: Jessica Finch (Jeff Finch) and Melissa Higginbotham (Eddie Higginbotham), her grandsons: Jacob and Caleb Finch; her brothers: Rick and Tony; her sister: Roseanne; and all her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that may as well be family.

Memorial Services will be held 11 AM on June 6, 2015 at St Andrews Episcopal Church, 111 S. Francis Street, Interlachen, FL 32148. In lieu of flowers Nancy requests that you consider donations made to Caleb Finch’s Special Needs Account. Thank you for the out pouring of support for our family and the love you have all given Nancy through the years. Also, thank you to Haven Hospice for caring for Nancy and Diane Reeves for officiating the memorial service. Celebration of life to follow services.
