Margera Williamson Keeter, 91, departed this world peacefully from her home on Sunday, October 27. She was born in Jacksonville, FL to Guy and Frances Williamson, was a graduate of the Robert E Lee High School Class of 1946 and began working at Prudential Insurance Company followed by several years in with a local credit union. Married in 1947, they had 47 years together before his passing in 1994 and both enjoyed being long time residents of Orange Park. Margie was a faithful member and dedicated prayer and outreach leader for over 30 years at First Baptist Church. A member of the Art Guild of Orange Park, she was a highly skilled artist and craftsman whose work regularly won awards of recognition in the in numerous galleries, exhibits, and craft shows she participated in. Margie's countless gifts of charity and mission support were only out shined by her faithfulness in prayer for others. Serving her Savior was as essential to her as breathing. Her kindness and compassion for others have left impressions that will long outlast her time on this earth and she will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Margie was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, Edmund Keeter and brother, Howard Williamson. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Weeks Bowers; brother, Dave (Janet) Williamson; Nieces: Yvonne (Norman) Acker, Stephanie (Leon) Turner, Donna (Tara) Williamson, and Sheri (Dave) Harkey; Nephews: David (Michelle) Williamson, and Joel (Penney) Weeks; in addition to two great niece; ten great-nephews; and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, November 2, 2019 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL.
