Joan I. Kinard, 78, passed away May 11, 2018. She was born August 5, 1939 in Washington D.C. and resided in the Jacksonville area for the past 40 years. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service after a 25-year career. Joan was a devout Catholic and an active member in several parishes throughout her life, most recently Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fleming Island, Florida.
Joan was predeceased by her husband of 21 years, Mallie Kinard, and is survived by her three sons; William Kendrick (Wife, Barbara), Daniel Kendrick (Wife, Renee), James Kendrick (Wife, DeDe), and daughter; Kathleen True (Husband, James), sisters; Linda, Mary and Debbie; predeceased by James and JoEllen; grandchildren; David Kendrick, Danielle Kendrick, Chelsea Grier, Carolyn Kendrick, Andrea True Parker, Sara True, and great grandchildren; Alex Kendrick, Mason Vojtech, Hannah Vojtech, Gauge Grier, Gracelyn Grier and Baby James Parker who’s on the way. A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd Orange Park, Florida 32073. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Fleming Island Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 7190 US 17 Fleming Island, Florida 32003.
