She was born on January 28, 1958 in Pikeville, Kentucky to John Paul & Erma (Blackburn) Tackett.
Debra found her dear love, Clyde Palmer, with an empty seat beside him at Malone’s in Kentucky, and they built a home filled with family & affection.
She loved to snap photos of her family having fun, enjoyed family game nights especially playing Aggravation and Chicken Greedy and played a mean game of Pictionary.
Debra’s family misses her profoundly, and will celebrate her always.
She is preceded in death by her beloved Clyde, and her dear parents.
Debra is survived by her daughters, April Palmer-Hubbard (Marshall) and Brandy Shofner, and stepson, Ed Palmer (Kim); mother-in-law Sandra Palmer, sisters Illie Thompson (Lyn) and Janet Tackett-Weaver and Mary Elizabeth Scarberry, sister in law Lana Thornburg (Dennis Thornburg), brothers in law Bill Palmer (Teresa), Pat Palmer (Helga), Scott Palmer (Shelia), Kenneth Palmer (Michelle) and 8 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren and Best Friend Barbara Randolph.
The Palmer Family invites you to join them in Celebrating Debra’s Life at 4pm on September 15th at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, Florida 32763.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Lung Association.
