Bob was born October 1, 1936 in Dayton, Ohio to Samuel Houseman and Margaret (Macy) Blunk. Bob retired as a die setter after 35 years from General Motors. A man of faith and faithful prayer warrior, Bob was a member of Diamond Hill Cathedral since 1974. Bob could always be found sharing the love of Christ and his goodness even doing one of his favorite hobbies, fishing. He used it as a time to witness to others, as Bob never met a stranger. He was embracing retirement with great enjoyment as a snowbird to Dade City, Florida with his wife since 1992. Bob could be found in his spare time, tinkering in his garage and always had a hidden stash of chocolate of which he loved. But above all, Bob was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather who treasured his family dearly.
Bob is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Houseman; three daughters, Jacqueline (Jeffrey) Mathison, Debra (Robert) Wicker and Sandra Enlow; his grandchildren, Ariel Mathison, Cassandra (Steven) Keller, Brandy (Josh) Grassick, Nicole (Brian) Crank, Brooke Houseman and Kirsten Houseman; many great-grandchildren; his aunt, Ruthie Smith; his niece, Michelle (Greg) Rodenberger; sister-in-law, Fern Frontz; special friends, Doug (Darlene) Thompson and Helen Cole; many dear friends and other relatives.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Walter Blunk; son, Bobby Houseman; grandchild, Jessica Mathison; his siblings, Barbara Warner and Richard Macy; nephew, Jimmy Nickell; and his brothers-in-law, Lloyd (Judy) Nickell and Doug Frontz.
