Born July 8, 1946, he was the son of the late Garland and Virginia (Lanter) Clevenger. Upon graduating high school, he proudly served his country with the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He retired from General Motors with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the Amvets and lifelong member of the V.F.W. A member of Twin Lakes Golf Course, he loved to play a round of golf at every chance. Clyde was an amazing woodworker and carver.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Robin Elkins Clevenger whom he married on April 13, 2002; four children, Crystal Adams, Amber Skaggs (Clay Smith), Shannon Skaggs (Crystal Evans) and Ashley Skaggs (Christopher Cerha); five grandchildren, Morgan and Mason Adams, Ashtin Swick (Kearstin Kisner), Addyson Cox and Willa Skaggs; a great-grandchild, Zion Swick; four sisters, Margi (Randy) Laipply, Charlotte (Larry) Oliver, Diane Baron and Karen “Jane” (Joe) Quick; special cousin, Joseph Enderle; and many cherished family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Clevenger; and brother-in-law, Ted Baron.
A celebration of Clyde’s life will be held at a future date. Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario is honored to serve the family.
