Virgnia Jaquith Tuley passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, in Banning, California at the age of 98. She was born February 10, 1915, in Chicago, Illinois to Ralph and Hazel (Boone) Jaquith. "Jake" attended Illinois State University, graduating with a teaching degree in English and Physical Education. She taught several years before marrying Dixon Tuley in 1941. They moved to California while Dixon was in the army, settling in Ontario in 1950. Dad died in March 1975. Mom moved to Banning in 2010. She loved to travel and was fortunate to visit such places as Austria, Germany, New Zealand, Fiji, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Seoul and others, in addition to travel in the U.S. The many concerts, plays and ballets she attended at Gardiner Spring Auditorium provided her with endless hours of enjoyment. She was particularly fond of going to concerts put on Maestro Jack Mercer and the Ontario/Chaffey Community Show Band. She was a member of the Della Robbia Court #130 Order of the Amaranth. Mom is survived by her four children, Lynne (Ron) Veneski of Eugene, Oregon, Mike (Sharon) Tuley of Orange, California, Pat (Gail) Tuley of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Terry (Susan) Tuley of Yucaipa, California; grandchildren, David, Heather, Ryan, Kimberli, Traci, Pat, Michael and Jennifer; and 16 great grandchildren. Sincere thanks to both the The Lakes Assisted Living and Charter Hospice for their excellent and loving care during her residence and the last few months. Mom was blessed with a long, active, healthy and full life. She never forgot who each of us was. We love and miss you Mom and Grandma.
