Mary Anne Bellomo

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Mary Anne Bellomo of Pomona, California. Mary Anne entered into rest at the age of 92 on Monday, December 9, 2024. Mary Anne was born in the Bronx, New York to Conrad and Anna Franke who were both born in Germany. She was married to Francis X. Bellomo, whose parents were born in Italy, on May 1st, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York. They had a long and loving marriage until Francis (Frank) passed away in 1999. She moved to California with her family in 1968, and moved to Pomona in 1969 where she has lived ever since.

Mary Anne loved the Lord, and she enjoyed reading her bible, going to church, and hanging out with church friends. Her favorite song was "In the Garden (He Walks With Me and He Talks With Me and He Tells Me I Am His Own)". Mary Anne had special talents for sewing, baking, especially brownies, and cooking, especially delicious German food like Rouladen, creamed spinach, red cabbage, and potato dumplings, although she also enjoyed Italian food like a good plate of fettuccine alfredo. After her husband Frank passed away in 1999, Mary Anne volunteered at the local school. She read to the lower grade students, worked in the school library, and helped individual students in the lower grades with their reading in various teacher's classrooms until 2015. The students loved Mrs. Bellomo.

Mary Anne took excellent care of her home, husband, and her children. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion that will be carried on by her family and friends. She is survived by her children Joseph F. Bellomo of Dallas, TX, Anthony (Tony) F. Bellomo of Sacramento, CA, and Regina M. Bellomo of Claremont, CA.

A visitation for Mary Anne will be held Friday, December 27th, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Draper Mortuary, 811 North Mountain Ave, Ontario, CA 91762. Following the visitation will be a committal service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bellevue Memorial Park, 1240 W G St, Ontario, CA 91762. A repass will follow at Central Baptist Church, 395 San Bernardino Ave, Pomona, CA 91767 at 3:00pm.
