On August 19th, 2018, at 3:06 A. M., Jesus called his servant Frank Delgado home to join his parents, friends, and loved ones in a paradise that only one as great as God could provide. The past few years of physical ailments, pain, and suffering have all ended for Frank. Glory to God in the Highest.
He passed away peacefully with the knowledge that God will take care of him and that he had completed his service on this earth to the best of his ability. He was surrounded by his family who prayed for him, laid hands on him, held his hands, and kissed him as he passed.

Frank was preceded in death by his father Vidal Delgado and his mother Lucy Villalpando whom he loved both very much. He spent his entire life recounting fond recollections of his parents and discussed them often.
Frank was born on September 11th, 1938 in Etiwanda, California. Although he was born into humble beginnings, he lived his young life with an excitement and zeal for life. His heroes were always Cowboys and his imagination allowed his nights of camping out at farm worker encampments to be transformed into extended cowboy cook-outs and camping trips. He loved spending time with his 7 siblings; Sisters Connie, Delia, Sally, Eleanor, Margie, and Alice, and his brother Arthur. His mother, father, brothers and sisters meant everything to Frank. They worked hard together as a family picking fruit to provide for the family. He was close to his brothers and sisters his entire life and always regarded them in high esteem.
Frank never forgot where he came from and always maintained a humble attitude towards life. He always helped others in any way he could; whether it was letting someone stay that needed a home, or fixing something to make someone’s life better, he was always there.
He was mechanically inclined and very good at working with his hands. He was good at repairing vehicles, electrical, plumbing, and construction work. Many of these abilities he learned while at Twin Pines Ranch, in the San Jacinto Mountains, as a teen.
Frank served his country proudly in the United States Airforce during the late 1950’s. He was always a proud citizen of the United States and its military. He was a dedicated patriot who believed in this county.
Frank married Dolores T. Delgado of Chino, California in 1960. They met at the Fun Zone of the Los Angeles County Fair in the late 1950’s. They settled in Ontario California, and except for a few years of living in Tucson Arizona in the 1990’s, they were life-long Ontario residents. Frank loved being a member of the Tapia family of Chino California. He was close to his in-laws Mary and Jesus and truly loved all the members of the Tapia family; They were his family.
Frank joined General Dynamics Corporation in the early 1960’s as an assembler. He quickly worked his way up to Manager of Human Resources and retired from General Dynamics/Raytheon after 40 yrs. of service. While fulfilling his duties as Human Resource Manager, Frank helped many people that may have otherwise been unable to attain employment at General Dynamics. He believed in helping Latinos and giving young people a chance at a successful career.
Frank was active in his community and was a Scout leader, Volunteered at the Ontario Salvation Army, Member of the Ontario Jaycees, Football Coach for the Ontario Chapter of Jr. All American Football “Mean Machine” in the 1970’s, Helped build a park for elementary school kids at Sultana Elementary School, and coached youth Basketball for the City Of Ontario.
He loved Boxing and loved to discuss the latest fighters and recollect the fighters of old with anyone who would listen, but mostly with his son Fred.
During the latter part of his life, he loved Karoake. He loved singing, he loved music. He loved singing with his Friend John and loved singing with his family, especially his grandkids and great grandkids. He sang at rest homes to the delight of its residents.
Frank will be sorely missed by his family. They take comfort in knowing that he is in heaven with his family and friends, singing, dancing, and showing his big beautiful smile.
We will see you again Dad, Husband, Brother, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, and Friend.
Rest in God’s everlasting peace and save us a seat at the table next to you.
