Emily Jefferies

Emily was born in Vallejo, California on December 29, 1919 to Franklin and Emily Earney. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She grew up in Vallejo and later in Los Angeles where she graduated from Garfield High School. Emily married William Jefferies in 1942 and they raised their family in Baldwin Park. She worked over 30 years as office manager for the Di Georgio Corporation in Los Angeles. Following retirement they moved to Upland. Emily had a strong passion for fishing in the Sierras, traveling with her sister, gardening and spending time with her family.

Emily was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years as well as her grandson Justin Jefferies, and is survived by son Jerry Jefferies (Louise) of Temecula, and son Mel Jefferies (Kathy) of Apple Valley; 4 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous friends. She will be dearly missed by all.

Graveside services will be held at noon on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Bellevue Memorial Park, 1240 West G Street, Ontario California. Draper Mortuary is handling arrangements.
