Terry Lee Cimko

She was born on September 25, 1954 in Oneonta, a daughter of Walter and Louise (Martindale) Roberts. On May 8, 1976, Terry married William R. Cimko at the Elm Park United Methodist Church in Oneonta. They celebrated 35 years of marriage together unitl Bill's passing in May 2011.

Terry was an Oneonta High School graduate. After high school she went to work at the Oneonta Nursing Home in the housekeeping dept. Later on, she went to work at First Choice Cleaners in Oneonta, where she had been employed for over 20 years and worked right until her going into the hospital. In her spare time Terry loved to ride her bicycle, an activity she and her husband Bill enjoyed doing together. She also enjoyed working on crossword and wordsearch puzzles.

Terry is survived by her four grandchildren, Collin, Cordell, Camillia and Cyller Cimko, and their mother Amanda; her mother-in-law, Gloria Cimko; her five sisters, Josephine Ouimet, Carol Roberts, Gail Davis, Audrey Henderson, and Tracy Hoffman; and her aunts, Charlotte (James) Hadden and Thelma Martindale. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bill Cimko; her father, Walter Roberts; her mother and step-father, Louise and Brownell Lake; her son, Walter Keith Cimko, and her uncle, Harold Martindale.

Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to Noon on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta. Funeral services will be held at Noon following the calling hours, with the Rev. Donna Taylor-Martin officiating. Terry will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Evergreen Cemetery in Otego following the service.
