Janet was an exceptional woman. She was everything a father could ever ask for in a daughter. If you searched far and wide for a more caring, loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, you would find no one else. Janet’s devotion to her family was rock solid, as she was the rock her family leaned on during tough times and the glue that held them all together. Janet was a planner down to the last detail, organizing family trips and get togethers quite often, and you never had to worry about a thing because Janet always had it covered.
She was also a beloved and trusted aunt and sister, whom always had a caring ear to listen and strong shoulder to support you when you needed it. She became fast friends with almost all that she met, building strong and deep relationships that would last a lifetime.
In her spare time, she really enjoyed tending to her gardens and loved her flowers. She was also an amazing cook, preparing family meals that were always a hit and if you left the dinner table hungry, it was your own fault. Janet also had a talent for crafting, especially knitting, crocheting, and scrapbooking.
Janet is survived by her loving husband, Fred Maloof; her father, Ferris Banner; her three children, Wendy Chase, Tracy (David) Ross, and Deanna (Chris) Gray; her five grandchildren, Matthew, Dylan, Cody, Kaylee and Connor. She is also survived by her brother, Duane (Marge) Banner; her niece, Star Banner, and grandnephew, Mason.
She was predeceased by her mother, Gladys Banner, and her first husband, James Chase.
Friends and family are invited to visit from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta, at which time her family will receive guests.
