Frank was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 27, 1940 to Frank and Anna (Gallo) Lipari.
Frank married MaryAnn O’Hara on November 18, 1967. They were married for 49 wonderful years when she passed away in March 2017.
Frank held many interesting positions throughout his life. He worked for a printing company in New Jersey in the early 1970’s. His dream, though, was to own his own business. And in 1980, he was able to make his dream a reality when he moved his family upstate to own and run the Wells Bridge General Store. Frank ran the store for a decade and in that decade he made many lifelong friends and customers. Frank could come across as gruff or grumpy, but to those who knew him well, knew he was a kind man who wanted to help as many people as he could.
After his time in the General Store, Frank worked for the Farmer’s Museum in Cooperstown, NY. He enjoyed working there and loved telling stories about the ghosts and spirits he encountered there.
Frank loved the outdoors. He went for walks whenever he could. He also enjoyed target shooting. He was a past member of the Crumhorn Rod & Gun Club in Maryland, NY and he was on the Sidney Pistol Club team, where he enjoyed the camaraderie as well as the competition. Frank made sure that his children and grandchildren were properly educated in the safe usage and storage of firearms.
Frank is survived by his children, AnnaMarie (Peter), Otego and Frank (Jessie), Greene; four grandchildren, William Lipari, Otego, Katelyn Hall (Rita) Cooperstown, Dominic and Benjamin Lipari, Greene; sisters-in-law, Corine Lavin (John), Connecticut and Theresa Ledek (Bob), Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews. Frank was also predeceased by his parents, Frank & Anna; three brothers, John, Sal and Thomas; and sister, Mary.
There will be no funeral services at this time. His family will have a celebration of his life in July of 2022.
Frank loved dogs and had many beloved companions throughout his life, so in lieu of flowers a donation may be directed to Super Heroes in Ripped Jeans in Oneonta www.superheroesirj.org Donations may also be directed to the Alzheimers Association at www.alz.org
