In honor of William (Bill) Edward Wilder, born in Omaha, NE on November 2, 1937, to George and Mary Wilder and died in Nashville, TN on July 19, 2024, where he was surrounded by his loving family. He was 86 years old.
He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather who loved his family more than words can explain. He is survived by his wife Lorretta, of 57 years, his children Robin, Scott (Tracey), and Todd; Grandchildren, William, James, Hope, Reece, Alex (April), Dallas (Cholena), and Kevin (Jade); and great grandchildren, Rowan, Josiah, Keilani, and Lorretta.
Bill was a unique, one-of-a-kind, detail-oriented person who did things his way but always in support of his entire family. He was a man of very few words, but when he spoke, there was meaning, honesty, care, and humor. To his family, he will always be remembered as a kindhearted and selfless person who was always ready and willing to listen when needed.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Jean Truax, mother of Robin, his parents, siblings Luella Barna, Vernon (Paddy) Stuart, Marie Scott, Virginia Gray, Geraldine Moore, and Georgia Patrick.
He was close with all of his in-laws and had a very special bond with his nephew, Spencer Kloke.
On August 10, 2024, a viewing will be held from 10am-12pm, followed by a graveside memorial from 12-1230 pm at Westlawn Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, NE 68106, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of their choice.
