In loving memory of Paulette Marie Rice (Schulte), 58, daughter of Raymond and Eugenia, the eleventh of twelve children. Paulette was preceded in death by her father; Raymond, a sister; Mary Ann, a brother; Wilfred (Willy), and step-son; Michael. Survived by her mother, husband, five children, twelve grandchildren, nine siblings, and many other friends and family.
Paulette passed away March 17, 2018, at home surrounded by her family.
Services were held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross in Omaha.
Paulette worked at Continental Grain, and Rollins truck leasing in Omaha before starting Polly Parrot Daycare, which she ran for almost 15 years. After relocating to Onawa she worked at Burgess Health Center for a time, where she made several new friends.
Paulette enjoyed fishing, camping, and boating, and unfortunate for the person tubing or skiing behind the boat, loved to chase ducks if she came upon any on the lake. She had a loud and boisterous laugh, and wasn`t afraid to use it. Paulette liked to help people and would not hesitate to volunteer her husband to go "fix that" for so-n-so.
She had 3 children, 3 step-children, and 12 grandchildren whom she adored.
