Melissa was born March 26, 1959 in Audubon, IA to parents, Bernie and Copee Wells. She grew up in Carroll, IA as the youngest of 8 children. Melissa worked for Omaha Public Schools since 1994, and she loved caring for her students as a para-professional during her 27 years there. In many respects, her students were an extension of her family. In her free time, Melissa enjoyed cooking, baking, and spoiling her grandchildren. Her family was the most important thing in her life, and she loved them all dearly.
Preceded in death by parents, Bernard “Bernie” and Marguerite “Copee” Wells; daughter, Megan; brother, Kenny Wells; sister-in-law, Loretta Wells; and brother-in-law, George Dozler. Survived by loving husband of 39 years, Marvin; children, Michael (Lindsay) Rosenthal and Makala (Jason) Limpach; grandchildren, Tanner, Caiden, Aubrey, Cody, and Kinsley; siblings, Michael (Karolyn) Wells of Altoona IA, Laura (Dan) Monen of Omaha NE, Dave (Dawan) Wells of Portales NM, Jennifer (Wells) Randolph of Council Bluffs IA, Eenie (Al) Bock of Carroll IA, and Katie (Wells) Dozler of Carroll IA; uncles, Bob Kloser of Carroll IA, and Allen Holley of Bellevue NE; and many other close family and friends.
